Barbara Harrison, RN, CRRN, CCM, ALNC

barbara-harrisonMs. Harrison is a Registered Nurse with more than thirty years of experience in the medical profession, and more than twenty years of experience as a medical case manager and consultant. She graduated from Florida State University, and was licensed in the State of Florida as a registered nurse in 1976.

Ms. Harrison began her practice at the Department of Corrections working as a medical/surgical staff nurse. Over the next ten years, her practice included working as a shift supervisor in the acute care setting, Public Health nursing for the Department of Health, and medical/surgical/oncological nursing at Florida Hospital in Orlando.

In 1985, Ms. Harrison expanded her practice into field case management services, working as a catastrophic case manager for CorVel Corporation. She became the Supervisor of the Catastrophic Unit for CorVel, and progressed to become the District Manager of the North Florida District. In her capacity as District Manager, she was responsible for overseeing all of the services provided by CorVel, including managed care services, and bill review.

She joined CaseVantage in 2007 to continue her career as a medical case manager and consultant, as well as a legal nurse consultant. She transitioned to Exceptional Case Services, Inc. in 2011 with the rest of the CaseVantage team, when the two companies merged.

Ms. Harrison is a Certified Rehabilitation Registered Nurse (CRRN), Certified Case Manager (CCM), and Advanced Legal Nurse Consultant (ALNC). She is a member of the Jacksonville Claims Association, and the Workers Compensation Claims Professionals (WCCP).
